Kastle Systems is looking for an Associate Hardware Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in Falls Church, VA to help us grow our product offerings.
As a Kastle System, Associate Hardware Systems Integration Engineer, you will have an opportunity to contribute to our award winning* highly available and distributed platform that is deployed on platforms ranging from microcontrollers, headless Linux IoT controllers, datacenters, and the AWS and Azure clouds. Our products work to keep people safe while adding convenience and providing excellent customer service to the building managers and enterprise customers that use our Security-As-A-Service platform.
The successful candidate will be one who is looking to make a big impact in the company in which they join. This position will help integrate various hardware components into new and existing products.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management in identifying 3rd party products that may meet functional and operational requirements.
- Create manuals and/or automate the integration of 3rd party products to ensure field installations are done correctly, quickly, and according to standardized and supportable parameters.
- Maintain a Kastle supported software/firmware baseline for 3rd party products.
- Support the integration of various hardware components and systems, develop and execute test plans, and perform system validation.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving hardware-related issues
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related engineering field highly desired.
- In lieu of a Bachelors Degree, an Associates Degree in a relevant technical field and 2-3 years of applicable field experience may be accepted. Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Excellent organization and time management ability
- Solid ability to analyze complex systems, identify root causes of issues, and devise effective solutions.
- Practical working understanding of fundamental electrical principles (i.e. Ohm’s law) and how they are applied in low voltage applications
- Solid understanding of IP networking concepts
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent written and verbal US English communication skills
- 1 successful internship (2-3 months) performing related duties
