Role Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing a team of Internal Sales Associates on the National Life Group Sales Desk. The position includes a variety of functions including managing, training, and developing Internal Sales Associates. The candidate will work closely with the management team to meet defined goals. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Sales Desk and collaborate closely with the distribution management team. This position is presently onsite/hybrid with the expectation that you are in the office three days per week with current campus days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (subject to change with advance notification and manager discretion).
This individual will be coached and mentored by a Sr. Sales Desk Manager to help develop management and leadership skills, talent selection, and performing annual performance reviews.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Day to day supervisor of Internal Sales Associates
- Drive improved performance of the Saledesk team through coaching and feedback.
- Mentor and train Internal Sales Associates on the sales call process, NLG products, NLG systems and agency knowledge
- Conduct regular performance reviews and quality audits
- Meet KPI goals
- Completes assigned projects to enhance the Sales Desk effectiveness
- Travel when necessary for training and relationship building
- Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years sales experience within Financial Services
- Extensive knowledge of NLG’s systems, products, and distribution channels
- Knowledge of CRM (Salesforce.com)
- Superior written and oral communication skills required
- Ability to manage and supervise high performing teams
- The ability and desire to work in a challenging fast paced environment
- Up to 10% travel required

In addition to base salary, other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
