Job Summary
The College of Nursing at the University of Kentucky invites exceptional candidates to apply for a full-time, 12-month Regular Title Series, tenure-eligible position, open rank of Associate or full Professor with a possible endowed professorship. We anticipate a start date no later than July 1, 2026, and an earlier start date can be negotiated. This is an on-site position and based in Lexington, KY. We seek candidates who use innovative approaches to address important and challenging problems in all aspects of nursing science. We are particularly interested in applicants with experience in research focused on addressing Kentucky’s major health concerns (e.g cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, asthma) and experience in and commitment to graduate education and mentorship. Research start-up funds are negotiable for this Regular Title Series faculty position.
The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of grantsmanship and productivity in health related research, a commitment to education, and collaborative, community- engaged research/scholarship. The successful candidate may teach at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels; actively participate in service to the university, the profession; and faculty, staff, trainees, and students. The prevailing candidate will be an intellectual leader in the field with high emotional intelligence, ambitious vision, collegial style, and the energy to inspire other nursing researchers and their collaborators. This role will serve as a primary researcher and mentor for early stage and mid-career scientists in the college, related Centers, and other UK colleges.
