Required Related Experience

Candidate must have demonstrated expertise in nursing administration, accreditation, and evidence-based practice. A minimum of five (5) years of combined academic and professional nursing experience is required. Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting in support of institutional effectiveness and outcomes assessment, and a comprehensive knowledge of nursing education accreditation standards and regulatory requirements (CCNE, State Boards of Nursing, and SACSCOC) is critical. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and coordination of teaching nursing education programs and proven participation in accreditation self-studies, site visits, and related reporting.

Required License/Registration/Certification

An active unencumbered Kentucky license as a registered nurse is required.

Job Summary

The College of Nursing is seeking a full-time, 12-month faculty member in the Special Title Series (tenure-eligible) to support the growth and success of our graduate programs, as well as serving as the college’s Assistant Dean of Accreditation. This position plays a vital role in advancing the College’s mission, maintaining accreditation standards, and promoting excellence in nursing education.

The successful candidate will teach and advise students in the graduate program, contribute to curriculum design and evaluation, and serve as a professional role model for emerging nurse leaders. In addition, the role includes supporting accreditation and assessment processes, organizing faculty development activities, and engaging in scholarship, practice, and service at the College, University, and community levels.

This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with academic, healthcare, and accreditation partners to strengthen educational quality and program outcomes. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in nursing education, accreditation, and evidence-based practice; possesses strong leadership and communication skills; and is committed to fostering a culture of lifelong learning and continuous improvement.
