Athletic Facilities & Operations CoordinatorUIW MissionPosition SummaryThe Athletic Facilities & Operations Coordinator is primarily responsible for assisting with the oversight of maintenance/upkeep and operations of all athletic buildings and facilities. Secondary responsibilities include assisting with the day-to-day business operations of the department. The Athletic Facilities & Operations Coordinator reports to the Director of Athletics Facilities and Event Management.Essential FunctionsJob DutiesKnowledge Skills and Abilities• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams or equivalent.• Excellent oral, written communication, organizational and sales skills.• Must be able to identify and participate in the resolution of departmental/ institutional problems with continuous quality improvement as a goal.• Ability to effectively enhance internal relations team effectiveness through dependability and facility revenue generation.• Ability to consistently follow the Mission of the university.• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.• Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.Required EducationBachelors Degree.Required Work ExperienceOne (1) year experience in facilities and events management or other relevant area.Preferred QualificationsFacilities and events management experience in higher education.Required Certifications, Licenses or RegistrationsMust have a valid driver's license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.Work HoursMonday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed, especially in the planning and execution of games and other events, to include nights, weekends, and holidays.Physical Demands• Ability to lift up to 30lbs for game and other events preparation.• Ability to reach overhead, bend, and squat to retrieve events materials.• Ability to push/pull event carts holding up to 50 lbs.• Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time.
