Physical Requirements

Physical requirements for this position include, but are not limited to: running, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, sitting on the floor getting up and down from the floor, and equipment.



Shift

Monday-Friday; primarily in the afternoons. Does include some weekends depending on athletic schedule.



Job Summary

UK HealthCare is looking for an Athletic Trainer who is motivated to make a positive impact to local students participating in Lexington Sporting Club Pre-Professional teams and youth/academy events.

The Athletic Trainer will partner with high schools in the Lexington area and provide injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services for student-athletes. Game and event coverage will be required as needed to support health of student athletes, and travel to those events is required.

As an Athletic Trainer with UK Healthcare, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse and world-renowned staff of board-certified orthopedic surgeons, specialists, and other leading industry experts!

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ability to accurately evaluate physical readiness of athletes; the ability to determine effective treatments for athletic related injuries; the ability to work with students; basic computer knowledge; Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
