Job Summary:
The Regional Facilities Technician supports multiple AutoNation dealership locations within a defined geographic area by performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs across various building systems. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, efficient, and compliant working environment that supports dealership operations and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine facility inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, life safety, etc.).

Respond to service requests and resolve facility issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Oversee third-party vendors and contractors performing repairs, maintenance, or capital improvements.

Provide support for facility-related projects including renovations, upgrades, and rollouts.

Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to update work orders, log activities, and manage service requests (e.g., ServiceChannel).

Perform minor repairs and general handyman tasks to minimize downtime and reliance on external vendors.

Ensure facilities remain in compliance with local codes, environmental standards, and corporate policies.

Monitor energy usage and support sustainability and efficiency initiatives (e.g., LED upgrades, water conservation).

Travel regularly to assigned dealership locations within the region; occasional overnight stays may be required.

Support emergency response and disaster recovery efforts as needed.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or vocational training in facilities-related fields (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.

3+ years of facility maintenance experience, preferably in retail, commercial, or automotive environments.

Working knowledge of building systems, general construction, and facility codes.

Proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g., ServiceChannel) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and time management skills.

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; company vehicle may be provided.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks indoors and outdoors.

Role involves travel between multiple dealership locations within the assigned region.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required for emergencies or project needs.
