The Azure Cloud Engineer will work as a member of a project team providing engineering, implementation, and sustainment support as part of large IT modernization efforts for the federal government. Key responsibilities include:
- Create, configure, and manage subscriptions, tenants, organizational settings, and organizational profiles
- Implement and manage Azure Subscription security, incident investigation, and overall threat protection
- Assist client security personnel by providing Azure configuration settings and capabilities to address security policies
- Implement and manage logging across all cloud operations to centralized Log Analytics Workspaces to support incident troubleshooting
- Work with technical leads and architects to provide input and hands-on management in the areas of application integration, data migration, service bus messaging, IP management and firewall rules, routing rules, and more.
- Design and engineer DevSecOps processes, including automation of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Github, and related technologies
- Specific examples of regular tasks include:
- Updating Security Baseline Documents
- Daily Monitoring of Azure services
- Daily Monitoring of Azure Alerts
- Daily Monitoring of D365 Alerts
- Monthly artifact collection (JSON)
- Private End Points (Data Factory)
The projected compensation range for this position is $130K - $175K annualized (USD). The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal pay equity, location, contract-specific affordability and other organizational requirements.
Required Skills- Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- At least 8 years of total IT experience
- At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft-based architecture design, migration, and infrastructure support for the enablement of large enterprise-wide Azure environments
- Experience and understanding of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth2, OData, and Microsoft identities
- In-depth familiarity with scalable architectures using Azure Service Bus, serverless technologies, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, ACR/ACI etc.), API management, microservice frameworks, etc.
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting federal government customers on large complex projects
- Experience supporting Department of Defense clients
- Multiple Microsoft certifications, especially Azure Architect
Salary range
