LOCATION: T.O. VInson Health Center
DIVISION/DEPARTMENT: Community Health / MCH
SALARY INFORMATION: $40,020.34 Annually / Pay Grade H / Job Code HCP101
Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, coordinates the implementation of the health district's Early Intervention Specialist instruction and /or assessment programs. Performs direct service. assesses infants and toddlers development needs, summarizes results, designs program activities and instruction, and/or provides consultation on instructional strategies to families and service providers. Participates as a member of the primary service provider team, maintains knowledge of current trends for service provision for children with special needs. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in in counseling or a related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of job related experience.
OR
One (1) year of experience at the lower level Behavioral Health Counselor 1 (HCP100) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require certification or licensure.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Early Childhood or Special Education; and one (1) year of professional experience providing services to or teaching children under the age of 5; experience administering a variety of standardized assessment tools.
