Job Description

As a Behavioral Technician, you will be an integral part of our Psychiatric Intervention Prevention team at City Campus. Your role involves assisting patients with personal care, collecting data, and collaborating with licensed personnel to deliver exceptional care. This position requires a caring and flexible approach, with a focus on maintaining patient confidentiality and supporting team objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under licensed supervision.
  • Assist patients with personal care needs and participate in the care plan.
  • Regularly communicate observations and data to the appropriate caregivers.
  • Collect test specimens as per procedures and document patient care activities.
  • Maintain a friendly and prompt customer service attitude.
  • Ensure the highest level of confidentiality and respect for patients.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the care team to achieve patient goals.
  • Assist other team members as needed to support team objectives.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual preferred.
  • BLSHCP certification within 6 months of hire.
  • CPI training required within 1 year of hire or by 10/31/25 for existing employees.
  • 1-3 years of patient care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and interpersonal skills for effective communication.
  • Ability to be flexible, set priorities, and make sound judgments.
  • Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at hire; training will be provided.
  • Physical abilities to perform essential functions, including lifting and transporting patients.
  • Willingness to work in a hospital environment with potential hazards.
