As our Broadcast Systems Technician, you will manage the technical operations, systems, and on-site broadcast support for the team’s game broadcasts at home and on the road. In addition to traveling with the team to support away games, you will be the on-site technical lead for the broadcast crew, ensuring flawless execution on game days. You will also have the unique opportunity to help shape the future of Blazers Broadcasting through system design,long-term planning, and upcoming facility upgrades.

DAY-TO-DAY:
- Serve as the on-site technical lead at both home and away games, traveling with the team throughout the season to manage broadcast systems and ensure flawless execution.
- Oversee preparation, transport, and operation of all broadcast gear and equipment for road games.
- Manage and monitor remote broadcast connections and feeds to ensure reliable, high-quality transmission.
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot broadcast systems, equipment, and software used for game production, ensuring reliable performance during live events.
- Coordinate technical needs and provide on-site support for both home and visiting team broadcast crews, including hands-on troubleshooting such as cabling, soldering, and hardware repair.
- Oversee broadcast production crew on game days, providing technical direction and support to ensure seamless operations.
- Support the development of technical staff and freelancers through feedback, collaboration, and training opportunities identified with the broadcast producer and director.
- Contribute to planning and execution of broadcast facility upgrades, collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Assist with budget planning and inventory management for broadcast equipment, upgrades, and services.
- Provide ongoing technical support for production operations across television, radio, and in-arena broadcasts.
- Develop and maintain documentation on broadcast workflows, system configurations, and technical procedures.
- Foster positive collaboration with production, league representatives, and vendor partners to ensure consistent high-quality output.
- Stay up-to-date on broadcast technology advancements and recommend upgrades or process improvements.
WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:
- Extensive experience in broadcast operations, live production environments, or technical systems supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex technical operations in fast-paced, live production settings.
- Hands-on experience traveling and working with teams on-site in support of live broadcasts.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading technical projects and facility upgrades.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- 6+ years of experience in broadcast operations, technical systems support, or live sports production.
- Proven experience working in live production environments and traveling as part of a broadcast team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extensive travel during the season.
- Strong working knowledge of broadcast equipment, production systems, and relevant software.
