We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Architect / Developer to design, develop, and implement enterprise-wide BI solutions. This position requires expertise in data architecture, analytics, and data products to build a robust, scalable, and secure data infrastructure that enables data-driven decision-making and delivers high-quality, impactful data products to our organization.

Must have strong communication skills as you will be working with other departments to achieve your milestones. Ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical person is preferred.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Architect, Design, and Develop: Design, architect and develop scalable data architectures, data models, reporting layers and Power BI reports for BI platforms and data warehouses.
  • Tool Selection and Strategy: Evaluate, select, and integrate BI tools and platforms to improve efficiency and capability.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot and optimize BI system performance and improve end user experience.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Define and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, quality, security, and compliance.
  • Mentorship and Documentation: Provide technical leadership and mentorship and maintain documentation of BI systems, technical designs, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and system maintenance.
  • Collaboration: Work with C-suite executives, analysts, and engineers to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Enable Automating data processes, generating advanced insights, and enhancing data-driven decision-making by leveraging AI capabilities within Azure and MS Copilot.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to prepare BI data sources (Power BI, SQL, SharePoint) for integration with Copilot agents and other LLM-based tools.
  • Ensure BI data models and reporting layers are optimized for consumption by Copilot agents, including semantic modeling and metadata enrichment.
  • Stay current with industry trends and Azure technologies, recommending improvements and innovations where appropriate.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years in Business Intelligence, data warehousing, and data architecture.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and data models.
  • Expertise in data modeling and database/data warehouse design.
  • Expert proficiency and hands on experience with Power BI, DAX, MS Fabric, ETL tools including SSIS and Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Datalake storage, Python, SQL.
  • Experience with Azure cloud platform and big data technologies.
  • Expertise with data governance frameworks and industry compliance standards.
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Copilot and LLMs for analytics/BI
  • Familiarity with Power Platform connectors, Microsoft Graph, and API integration for enabling Copilot agents
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential for collaborating with various stakeholders and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Background in Construction, Single Family, Multi-Family, and/or Commercial Property Management and/or Accounting is a plus

Skills/Specialized Knowledge

  • Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of data structures, design patterns, and Business Intelligence
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance frameworks for AI-enabled BI solutions.
  • Ability to support Copilot agent development by preparing and documenting BI data sources for AI consumption.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a deadline driver fast paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of autonomy while being a team player
  • Willingness and ability to learn and research independently
  • Sense of Urgency of delivery and ownership of work products
