Position Purpose
This position will support the Aftermarket Sales activities for the North America regional markets. This role will develop the company’s reporting capabilities, work with partner teams on ad-hoc analyses, and provide strategic support to the Product Support management team on an ongoing basis and be responsible to developing and managing the Aftermarket parts and attachments pricing strategy to optimize capture rate (price realization) and meet company sales goals while maintaining profitability.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis to find opportunities for market development and enhancement.
- Mine data sources to identify business and market trends
- Provide performance monitoring and insights via dashboards, scorecards and ad hoc analysis to identify areas for business growth and improvement.
- Aid in developing data roadmaps for new product launches and evolving business needs.
- Surface and analyze data to help us build more robust Customer Segmentation.
- Develop and implement pricing policies and processes to support market growth and achieve company profitability goals and targets.
- Proactively assist in the day-to-day operations such as addressing dealer price discrepancies and ship direct programs to achieve business success
- Oversee and direct day-to-day Aftermarket pricing team and activities, including:
- Reporting and documentation of pricing structures and serve as the point of contact for pricing inquiries
- Update and maintain all pricing related data in files/databases
- Establish process to publish parts price lists in accordance with market forces, cost fluctuations, capture rate goals, historical data and forecasting models
- Communicate to stakeholders all pricing changes as they occur
- Generate, publish and distribute updated JCB Parts Price Lists for the US, Latin America and Canada, as required
- Work cross-functionally to support strategic pricing initiatives
- Capture rate goals, historical data and forecasting models as part of market price research, margin review, sales acceptance levels and parts life cycle
- Implement and complete cost down exercises
- Partner with the procurement team to discuss local sourcing
- Communicate frequently with field sales representatives or other data sources to gain understanding of market pricing of competitive products and implement strategies to increase capture rates
- Work with Sales and Marketing to forecast, analyze and implement promotional strategies
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Develops innovative solutions to situations where guidelines cannot be applied
Minimum Qualifications
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an analytical role within an OEM environment
- Bachelor’s degree in business or similar
- 2-4 years as an individual contributor performing quantitative analysis and business reporting, preferably for a construction OEM
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated financial acumen and knowledge of financial statements
- High proficiency with Excel, including pivot tables and analysis modules
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance major preferred
- Knowledge of SQL and Visual Basic to support scripting within Excel
- Construction equipment parts knowledge
- Aftermarket parts pricing background
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook) and ERP Systems (SAP preferred)
- Proficiency with data warehouse and reporting tools such as Business Warehouse (SAP) Power BI (MS) and/or Crystal Reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Able to interpret Engineering drawings
- Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of pricing strategies and sales processes
- Strong understanding of OEM and distributor roles in selling of product
- Ability to take direction well and work with minimal supervision
- Prior experience to equipment parts and pricing
- Research vendors to determine competitive pricing information
- Research markets to determine key business trends and relevance
