How will you make an impact in this role?

The Business Logic Developer II role presents an exciting opportunity to develop business rules in DMN (Decision Model and Notation).This person will be responsible in collaborating with tech partners and product team to develop business rule changes for Intuitive Service Portal (ISP) across global markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for business process design, including business maintainable rules for the new platform.
  • Understand the POD rules, pain points and come up with the solution for POA that is flexible, maintainable and scalable.
  • Maintain the business processes and business rules as required by strategy.
  • Develop global processes and rules and deploy and modify for each locality.
  • Partner with technology, product & servicing operations teams to prioritize, define and deliver top priority features.
  • Successfully manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
  • Effectively collaborate/influence at all levels without having direct authority
  • Timely Updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Automate existing manual processes and strategies into new processes and rules.
  • Work with central and local market cross-functional teams to ensure processes meet market needs and adhere to local regulatory, compliance and risk requirements.
  • Obtain feedback on the processes and rules to iterate and drive improvements in future releases.
  • Experience in Rally/Jira tools to track progress and manage work efficiently.
  • Work in Agile or Kanban methodology and actively participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Use Git/similar for version control and code management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of Core Java / ReactJS Development experience
  • Deep knowledge on Business Rules and Business Process Management (BPM) and proven ability to create solutions from the ground up.
  • Knowledge on SQL and Drool
  • Logical and organized thinker, with ability to understand complex business problems.
  • Enthusiasm for smart system design, and creativity and insight to create efficient process and rule solutions
  • Curiosity and hunger to know how things work and ability to use that knowledge to find enhancement opportunities.
  • Understanding of American Express tech and product development process
  • Recognize issues quickly and determine how to go about getting resolution.
  • Detailed oriented, able to identify key questions, make process decisions and determine how pieces of the puzzle interact and impact the overall project.
  • Highly organized, taking individual initiative and accountability for getting results.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to engage, influence and inspire partners to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • Good grasp of various iterative methodologies: Agile, SAFe and Scrum

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
