Job Description and Requirements

The Business Services Manager manages the activities and/or operations associated with RBFCU's Business Services offerings. Oversees a team of Business Services Development personnel and Business Services Specialists focused on the needs of business members. Responsible for department procedures for ACH, Remote Deposit Capture, and opening business accounts. Responsible for risk assessment, evaluation, operational and management for business products including approval of exposure limits, activity monitoring, and periodic evaluations of member risk for vendor operated services such as RDC, and ACH Origination. Strategic planning to align with market needs and new product development.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for new product development, implementation and to include pricing structure, training and support in collaboration with other CU departments to serve business members, including but not limited to new Business Accounts, Business products, and Online banking.
  • Product knowledgeable for specialized business products including ACH, Merchant & Payroll services, Remote Deposit Capture
  • Serve as relationship manager for key current and potential members to consult regarding treasury management and business products.
  • Serve as primary contact for all audit or risk assessment engagements, including gathering documentation, developing action plans, and create and implement policies and procedures for mitigating identified risks.
  • Establish adequate internal controls that are commensurate with accepted levels of risk.
  • Collaborate with the Payment Services Department to streamline ACH procedures and resolve member issues.
  • Monitor and assess service, productivity and efficiency levels for Business Services staff.
  • Develop plans to manage departments operational performance and ensure achievement of goals.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate departmental processes, procedures and member needs to implement improvements and new product /service or process innovation.
  • Review and approve requests for ACH and Remote Deposit capture according to policy and guidelines.
  • Promote innovation and ingenuity in addressing recurring issues.
  • Responsible Responsible for employee development and coaching, ensuring performance management activities are adequately achieved.
  • Engage with our technology team to implement product enhancements and bring new products and services to market.
  • Serve as relationship manager for third party vendors; Participate in networking and community events to promote products and services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the financial/banking industry, preferable in commercial banking environment
  • Minimum of 4 years of management experience
  • Treasury management and payments product knowledge including ACH, wires and remote deposit capture
  • Understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, market and financial data analysis, payment processing and commercial banking operations
  • Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills and communication and management skills
  • Familiarity with basic programs such as Outlook, Microsoft office, Core and LOS systems
