Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Buyer-Aerospace role will joinour team onsite at our Berea, OH location.

Key Responsibilities:

' Issue requests for quotes/proposals(RFQ/RFP) and select best source consistent with cost, quality and deliveryrequirements.

' Negotiate and manage long-term pricingagreements on critical commodities.

' Complete purchase requests withdomestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expeditingdeliveries, and verifying all transactions.

' Handle correspondence concerningover-shipments, delivery shortages, changes in quantity, delivery dates, andprices and report such changes to the interested parties in a timely manner asrequired.

' Maintain appropriate inventory levelsconsistent with targeted inventory goals and as set by management.

' Maintain accuracy of stock codeinformation within JD Edwards, including lead-time, pricing, current supplierinformation, current purchase order data, etc.

' Monitor supplier performance byensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications;maintaining appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensurecompany requirements are met and that supplier is aware of their performance.

' Maintain services and office equipmentby conferring with suppliers; monitoring and recording service agreements toensure terms are met.

' Create and develop demand forecastsusing historical sales, market trends and data.

Assess and analyze situationswhere data may be inaccurate or incomplete.


Qualifications

BasicQualifications

' Bachelor's degree in businessmanagement, Supply Chain, or equivalent work experience.

' Minimum of 2 years of experience inmaterials and Supply Chain.

' Purchasing experience in amanufacturing environment.

' Strong systems knowledge andproficiency. JDE experience preferred plus working knowledge of MRP and ERPsystems.

' Solid analytical skills andsolution-driven thinking; collects and researches data; uses intuition andexperience to complement data. Makes good decisions based upon a mixture ofanalysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.

' Excellent communication (oral andwritten) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information andideas in a variety of media, tactful, confident, at all levels, internal andexternal.
