Physical Requirements
- Requires lifting & moving equipment (5 – 20 lbs) for sport set up.
- Standing, sitting, jogging or running for extended amounts of time.
- Exposure to weather for outdoor sports.
Shift
Intramural Sports - Fall & Spring semesters Sunday through Thursday 6pm – midnight.
*Intramural Sports are not operational during the summer months.
Job Summary
- Must be a registered UK student
- Work effectively in a team environment ensuring safety, fairness and sportsmanship in sports activities for students/faculty/staff
- Sport Manager position works hands-on to provide quality customer service through positive experiences
- Responsible for managing operation of events and officiating/refereeing sports during intramural competition
- Duties include but not limited to:
- Managing game operations
- Officiating/Refereeing sports
- Enforcing policies/procedures/sport rules
- Verifying eligibility
- Setting up/tearing down site
- Connecting with university community
- Experience is not required, training and development provided
- Leadership skills learned are applicable to any career path
