
Certified Hand Therapist
Position Summary
Proliance Hand, Wrist & Elbow Physicians is seeking a skilled Certified Hand Therapist (Occupational Therapist) to join our established hand therapy team in Kirkland. Founded in 1983 by Dr. Edward North, Proliance Hand, Wrist & Elbow Physicians was created to serve Eastside patients who previously had to travel to Seattle for specialized care of complex hand and upper extremity conditions. At that time, patients were primarily treated by plastic surgeons without specialized fellowship training in hand or elbow surgery. Our practice was built to provide dedicated, expert care closer to home.
Our established outpatient therapy clinic works closely with four experienced hand surgeons and a team of five occupational therapists to provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care. We foster a collaborative and professional environment.
Schedule
Part-time OR full-time. 20-40 hours a week (schedule is negotiable). Clinic hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm

Education/Experience
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in Washington (required)
- CHT preferred but willing to train a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with hand experience working toward CHT
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Collaborate closely with physicians and ensure thorough, up-to-date records
· Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
· Track patient progress and modify care plans as appropriate
· Maintain timely, accurate, and professional documentation
· Promote a safe, high-quality care environment in every therapy session
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Establish rapport with patients and families and explain reasons for therapy interventions.
- Work actively with other staff members to promote quality care of the patient.
- Knowledge and compliance with HIPAA
- Demonstrates and openness towards others point of view, employee interactions and/or client interactions while displaying courtesy and respect at all times.
- Disposition, temperament, and reactions are consistent with the philosophy that the patient welfare is the primary objective.
- Adheres to departmental policies and procedures regarding attendance, absentees, and professional dress code.
- Perform and teach proper body mechanics, posture, and lifting techniques.
- Ability to meet physical requirements of frequent lifting, bending, and stooping.
- Health status must be appropriate to the physical and emotional demands of the position.
- Ability to function under pressure and stress.
