Position Summary: This is a medically integrated dispensary, under the supervision of a dispensing medical physician, which provides in-office dispensing of oral oncolytic drugs to oncology patients. The Pharmacy Technician will demonstrate consistent application of knowledge and skills to provide safe, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care. The Medically Integrated Dispensary is accredited as an NCODA Center of Excellence.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Dispenses medication according to best practices.
  • Understands medication storage requirements.
  • Maintain medically integrated dispensing supply of sample medications.
  • Obtain, enroll and maintain accurate and current authorization status for treatment patients.
  • Work with specialty pharmacies
  • Assist in obtaining prior authorizations, copay assistance, foundation or manufacturer assistance for patients as required.
  • Inventory control
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Pharmacy Technician license
  • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes, regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or customer service position
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge
  • Excellent customer service skills

Hours: Monday through Friday 8 - 5
