Job Overview

tango is a leader in the home care health management industry and is preparing for significant growth! We are hiring a Chief Financial Officer to join our team.

The Chief Financial Officer will be a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and other members of the senior management team. Collectively, they will be responsible for PHCN’s future strategic vision to become a scaled value-based convener in the home health and post-acute care space. The executive in this role will be part of the team creating the industry’s first home health MSO in partnership with strategic providers as co-investors. This role will be responsible for management, direction, and oversight of the company’s finance function, including leading the financial planning and analysis, accounting, forecasting, budgeting, tax, treasury, and audit functions as the business evolves. Key responsibilities include providing proactive guidance to the Chief Executive Officer and management team on corporate performance, operational guidelines/expense management, financial policies, financial systems, compliance, M&A integration (if/when applicable), and financial operational processes. In addition, this person must have the gravitas to interface with investors and key stakeholders, as well as the flexibility and humility needed to succeed in a high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the following:

  • Act as a strategic and analytical thought partner to the CEO and leadership team to achieve key financial goals.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for the financial operations of the company, including all financial accounting and analysis, treasury, and debt management, forecasting and budgeting, audit, tax, and reporting.
  • Apply financial metrics to enable informed, astute business decisions and deliver cost savings, while supporting cash flow growth.
  • Implement and oversee the development of robust financial planning procedures, including annual budgeting, cash flow management forecasting and ongoing, timely, and transparent performance tracking.
  • Continuously track and report on the corporation’s performance relative to plan and call-out the need for corrective action. Synthesize key commercial and operational takeaways from the financials.
  • Provide financial support to M&A and asset transactions, taking the lead role in necessary financing activities and any changes to the company’s capital structure.
  • Implement talent development and succession plans to support the current and future talent needs of the company.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of market, customer, and profitability analysis.
  • Develop and foster strong relationships with external constituents, including investors, banks, vendors, and customers. The CFO will have interactions with executives within health plans and providers.
  • Experience with, management of, and/or appreciation of actuarial analysis and data analytics, as these areas will report into finance and are critical attributes as PHCN evolves to value-based care.

Experience

  • Prior CFO Experience. Proven experience as a hands-on CFO inside a growth-oriented business environment. Well-rounded background, including experience across operational finance and corporate finance.
  • Industry Experience. Experience working in financial leadership roles within managed care or the broader healthcare industry. Experience within a risk-bearing structure and exposure to value-based reimbursement is highly sought.
  • Strategic and Operational Finance Experience. A strong, business-driven operational CFO, balanced with a track record of strategic leadership.
  • Stakeholder Management. Proven experience working with and influencing the most senior levels of leadership, including investors and Boards of Directors. Credibility interfacing with executives within health plans and providers.
