Responsibilities

As a Land Development Engineering Intern, you’ll work alongside Project Engineers on a variety of exciting civil engineering projects, including commercial developments, residential neighborhoods, and public infrastructure. This internship gives you real, hands-on experience with how projects move from early design all the way through construction. You’ll be exposed to site design, drainage, permitting, and construction support while learning directly from experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with land development projects from early planning through design, permitting, and construction
  • Support site layout and grading design work
  • Help prepare drawings and assist with plan production using CAD software
  • Assist with drainage modeling and Drainage Impact Studies
  • Support construction phase work including quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, site visits, and shop drawing reviews
  • Work closely with Project Engineers and team members to help keep projects moving forward
  • Learn and grow while contributing to a team that values safety, integrity, teamwork, and quality work


Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (at least sophomore level or higher)
  • Exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus, but not required
  • Strong willingness to learn and interest in land development or civil design
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment
