The Opportunity

  • Champion VIA and other AI-powered tools across physician, APP, OC, and VP groups.
  • Identify high-impact workflows where AI can improve efficiency, documentation quality, or communication.
  • Serve as an on-the-ground clinical ambassador to increase awareness, trust, and day-to-day use.
  • Track adoption patterns and drive targeted strategies to increase meaningful utilization.
  • Identify behavior-change barriers and help design approaches that move clinicians from exploration to consistent use.
  • Partner with product and engineering to design, test, refine, and validate prompts for real clinical workflows.
  • Translate clinical challenges into structured AI use cases and design functional scenarios for testing.
  • Ensure prompts and use cases reflect safe, compliant, and clinically appropriate practices.
  • Collaborate with clinical subject matter experts to ensure accuracy, tone, and workflow alignment.
  • Participate in sprint reviews, usability testing, and pre-release evaluations.
  • Provide structured feedback to product and design teams on clinical functionality, usability, and edge cases.
  • Validate that new features meaningfully support real-world clinical needs before release.
  • Host recurring office hours to guide clinicians, answer questions, and share best practices.
  • Support development of training materials, tip sheets, and walkthroughs.
  • Assist with onboarding new clinical teams to VIA and related AI tools.
  • Surface patterns in user questions and issues that may indicate unmet product needs or opportunities for new features.
  • Work with clinical leadership to surface and prioritize use cases with the highest impact and feasibility.
  • Contribute to a 6- to 12-month clinical roadmap for VIA.
  • Distill structured frontline feedback into actionable product requirements.
  • Ensure prioritization reflects clinical value while accounting for compliance, operational constraints, and technical feasibility.
  • Act as a bridge between clinical teams, product, engineering, compliance, and operations.
  • Represent clinician needs in product decisions while supporting organizational objectives.
  • Assist with communication and change management efforts across departments.

Required Experience and Competencies

  • Licensed physician as a Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) required.
  • Board Certification from an accredited institution required.
  • Maintain membership and privileges on Hospital’s medical staff and comply with and abide by the bylaws, rules and regulations, and the policies and procedures of Hospital’s medical staff where services are being provided are required.
  • Physician Partnership status required.
  • Five (5) years of exemplary clinical practice required.
  • Experience as an administrative partner or equivalent in a large medical group practice (medical directorship, committee chair, or regional directorship) required.
  • Management experience, preferably at the medical director and organizational program management level required.
  • Attendance at conferences relevant to the healthcare industry and job requirements required.
  • Regular Emeryville-based office presence required.
  • Willingness to travel within the United States required.
  • Time schedule that allows for successful execution of job responsibilities required.
  • Excellent communications, teaching, and presentation skills experience.
  • Familiarity with federal and state laws and regulations affecting hospitals and medical group practice.
  • Exceptional clinical skills and reputation.
  • Thorough understanding of quality assurance and improvement, operational, service, risk, and regulatory issues relating to clinical performance.
  • Exceptional leadership skills capable of moving the organization to adopt novel programs.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry and trends impacting Vituity business.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $92,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company’s annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
