Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a full-time Clinical Services, Specimen Processor working from our Pittsburgh, PA office location, with a start date of February 16, 2026.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Specimen Processor

The Specimen Processor will be responsible for organizing and overseeing the daily tissue processing needs of the department, while also assisting with processing and maintaining the daily specimen receipt volume. The position will primarily focus on receiving biological specimens from clinics, hospitals, or collection sites; verifying that all specimens are properly labeled with accurate patient identifiers and correspond correctly with accompanying test requisition forms; and flagging and documenting any discrepancies, including missing information, mislabeling, or damaged specimens.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Actively displays behaviors that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in the laboratory field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-year lab accessioning experience preferred; previous experience in health care/lab, or pharmaceutical industry preferred.

SCHEDULE

  • Monday - Friday, 5 days/week in the office from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, exempt position.
