Position Summary

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for leading daily clinical operations across OB/GYN clinic locations while supporting high-quality, patient-centered care. This role blends staff leadership, operational oversight, and direct patient care. The Clinical Supervisor partners with providers and leadership to ensure efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Operations

  • Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure efficient workflows, appropriate staffing, and quality patient care
  • Develop and manage schedules for MAs, RNs, and Ultrasound Technologists across locations
  • Provide coaching, training, and ongoing support to clinical staff
  • Assist with performance evaluations and staff development initiatives
  • Communicate policy updates, best practices, and operational changes to the team
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and other regulatory standards
  • Support value-based care initiatives and quality improvement efforts

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Coordinate procedural schedules, including inductions, cesarean sections, and other services
  • Maintain communication with hospital partners to confirm schedules and resolve conflicts

Inventory & Supply Management

  • Oversee ordering and inventory of clinical supplies, medications, and equipment
  • Conduct audits to maintain appropriate stock levels
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective purchasing
  • Process purchase orders and reconcile invoices

Direct Patient Care

  • Prepare patients for exams, obtain vitals, and document medical histories
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures
  • Administer medications, injections, and perform phlebotomy within scope
  • Triage patient communications and coordinate follow-up care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely chart completion
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with safety standards

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality
  • Complete required trainings and participate in meetings and initiatives
  • Support team collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 4 months)
  • Previous clinical healthcare experience required
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • OB/GYN experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA standards preferred
