Job Summary
The Division of Psychology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking a pediatric psychologist for a Clinical Title Series (non-tenure track) faculty position to provide clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity within the Department of Pediatrics.
This position will have a clinical home in the Division of Developmental Pediatrics, providing services to children and adolescents up to age 12 with neurodevelopmental disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Intellectual Disability, Global Developmental Delay, and other developmental and behavioral conditions. This position is clinically focused with the remainder of time dedicated to scholarly activity and teaching in pediatric psychology. This position will also provide faculty resources to sustain and expand teaching, advising, and other instructional activities for the Pediatric Residency programs and the College of Medicine medical students.
The psychologist will work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting to conduct psychological evaluations for diagnostic clarification and treatment planning, as well as provide evidence-based psychotherapy to patients and families followed within Developmental Pediatrics.
Responsibilities Include:
• Conducting developmental, cognitive, and diagnostic assessments for children with suspected neurodevelopmental disorders
• Providing short- and long-term psychotherapy for children and adolescents referred through Developmental Pediatrics
• Collaborating with developmental pediatricians and other healthcare professionals in interdisciplinary evaluations and care planning
• Participating in clinical teaching and supervision for various learners in an academic medical setting
• Engaging in scholarly activities aligned with pediatric psychology and developmental pediatrics
