Job Summary
The College of Arts and Sciences seeks a College Payroll Specialist to process payroll actions for positions in the college.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to processing payroll actions; serving as first point of contact for communicating the new hire employment process; reviewing payroll using reports and spreadsheets to ensure accuracy before each BW and MO payroll finalizes; utilizing the college’s internal ticketing system to ensure all payroll requests have been processed; entering cost distributions using CDEM; processing non-PBC payroll encumbrances, and reconciling payroll accounts.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate must have exceptional customer service, organizational and planning, attention to detail, and communication (both written and verbal) skills. We are seeking a collaborative individual with initiative, strong problem solving and critical thinking skills as well as a high respect for diversity and inclusion. In addition, experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, and knowledge of business regulations.
