Overview
Univest is seeking a motivated student to join our Commercial Banking Internship Program for Summer 2026.
Kick-start your career in commercial banking with a hands-on internship where you’ll work alongside experienced Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to support real clients and real credit decisions. As an Intern in Univest’s Central PA's Lancaster Team, you’ll help gather and analyze financial information, support portfolio monitoring and annual reviews, and assist with the loan creation and approval process. If you’re detail-oriented, curious, and eager to learn how strong relationships and sound risk management come together, this is a great place to grow.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Communicate on regular basis with other portfolio managers (PM), relationship managers (RM), and relationship administrators (RA) in order to gather financial information to support loan requests.
Obtaining reporting to help RMs & PM with the monitoring and review exceptions (credit & collateral), maturing loans, asset based loans, and delinquencies.
Support RMs & PM with portfolio audit preparation, support, and responses for internal and external auditors.
Support RMs & PM in the preparation and completion of annual reviews.
Support RMs & PM with review of customer risk profiles and covenant compliance through the collection of financial data and searches.
Gather and input necessary data into nCino or Loan Presentation Summary (LPS) to initiate loan creation and approval process.
Support RMs & PM with real estate evaluations and construction advances
Special projects and additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Business or related field
Completed a minimum of 3 years of undergraduate studies
3.25 cumulative GPA or higher preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Superior problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to think independently and work collaboratively
Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
Wage Range:
The salary for this position is $20 per hour
