Job Description and Requirements
The Commercial Representative will provide quality service to all members and business owners and others within the department. Assist other members of the department in obtaining information for new loans and acquiring documentation to assist in underwriting, closing, funding and subsequent monitoring of commercial loans. Conduct all duties in a manner intended to enhance the image and growth of the credit union.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the processing of incoming commercial loan applications – lines of credit, credit cards, vehicles and commercial related loan products.
- Perform quality controls, checks for accuracy in the application package and ensure all proper documents have been collected.
- Maintain current working knowledge of lending policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of the LOS system to enter and process loan application to input and closing.
- Maintain an open line of communication with the member throughout the processing period, assisting them with any questions and notifying the member of any additional required information and or updates.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced high volume work environment.
- Knowledge of entity documentation. Validation of documentation through Secretary of State, to include Certificates of good standing and UCC Searches.
- Strong analytical, member service and communication skills.
- Monitor mail, emails, secured messages, DNA referrals, and right fax for loan applications.
- Handle inbound and outbound RBFCU departments, branches, and member’s calls with regards to Commercial Lending and SBA related questions and/or issues.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates Degree preferred Field of study-Management) or minimum of two years previous job related work experience in lieu of Associates Degree
- Less than one year of job related work experience
- Experience in call center and member service environment
- Some background in Business Entity structure
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills - speak and write clearly, persuasively and informatively
- Ability to use phone and automated loan system effectively
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications, experience with OnBase or other scanning software
- Must have good organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to multi task
- Good attendance and promptness is pertinent
- Bilingual a plus
- Must be able to work Saturdays as needed
