Full Time

Work on the 1-million sq. ft. factory is now under way on the 400-acre site. It will be the company’s second largest plant, rivalled only by JCB’s world headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire, England, and create 1,500 new jobs over five years. The factory will make Loadall telescopic handlers and aerial access equipment, with production scheduled to start in 2026. The factory will also have the capacity to expand and build other products in the future.

Position Purpose

Responsible for the design, implementation and advisory of Compensation and Benefits programs, policies and strategies, to ensure operational excellence in the region and support JCB business strategy. Align all policies to Corporate and Regional HR. Ensure internal equity and external competitiveness in each country. Be compliant with all regulations, laws and labor standards in the region. Ensure all annual and quarterly processes are correctly administrated, including annual JCB Merit Increase and Annual bonus.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

Impact on Business

  • Define, implement and update C&B procedures and policies for NAM
  • Implement, administrate and guide on C&B processes and tools
  • Participate in Compensation & Benefit surveys and perform the appropriate analysis to be used by HRBPs in applicable organizational decisions.
  • Create salary structures and communicate benchmark data as required.
  • Responsible to collect all job descriptions and kept them up to date.
  • Evaluate, map and improve Internal structure according to IPE methodology.
  • Responsible for implementation or improvement of company benefit plans
  • Develop personnel cost budgets and salary projections
  • Ensure compliance with local labor and tax laws.
  • Responsible of international assignments and compensation proposals for Expats. Helps with documents and provide guidance to HQ about regional conditions and practices.
  • Monitor macroeconomic indicators and advice about impacts in each country
  • Lead Annual Salary Increase and Annual Bonus processes with guidelines and tools.
  • Responsible to observe the fulfilment of C&B labor legal framework

Innovation and Change

  • Provide updates of international and local labor, compensation and benefits market practices and trends.
  • Responsible for the analysis and measurement of possible impacts to the business, due to changes on local regulations.
  • Create new compensation tools and processes where none exist · Improve existing compensation tools and processes
  • Design strategies to minimize or eliminate risks.
  • Cooperate with wellness initiatives to improve health and work-life balance

Communication with internal and/or external customers, suppliers, and third parties

  • Daily with HRBP’s. Jointly define local strategies on a continuous basis.
  • Daily with Regional Leads. Provide guidance and advisory about C&B practices and policies on a continuous basis.
  • Communication with HQ HR Team to ensure alignment and to collect feedback on a frequently basis.
  • Weekly with the VP of HR to develop, implement and improve policies and practices, according to specific needs.
  • Direct or indirect communication with Employees, regarding the management of their compensation and benefits package, to influence in their knowledge, perception and satisfaction on a frequently basis.
  • Continuous communication with different consultants regarding market information and Compensation and Benefits practices, such as Mercer or Towers Watson on a frequently basis.
  • Together, with the Benefits team, launch and monitor the Annual Benefits enrollment process.

People Leadership

  • Influence HRBPs and business leaders to implement new programs and processes according to strategies and influence them to use compensation information and methodologies in their decision-making.
  • Influence high management to ensure the comprehension and implementation of all C&B programs and initiatives.
  • Influence HQ HR C&B to design programs and tools that will support the function of JCB.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8-10 years relevant experience in compensation & benefits.
  • International company/global background.
  • 3-5 years managing international compensation and benefits responsibilities, projects or accounts, especially in North America.
  • Knowledge and experience in Mercer methodologies, tools and surveys.

  • Master’s in business
  • Certified Compensation Professional
  • Certified Benefits Professional
  • Fluent in Spanish

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Comfortable in an in-person office environment
  • Technical competence is a plus
