
Compliance Senior Specialist

In this job, you’ll play a critical leadership role in the design, implementation, and governance of SCE’s Compliance Program. This position partners closely with senior leadership, compliance program owners, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement across CPUC, FERC, Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety (Energy Safety), NERC regulations as well as supporting the Risk-based Compliance model.

Responsibilities
- Interfaces with vendors and certification bodies to initiate projects, delivers test data and related documentation, and solves compliance issues.
- Provides technical expertise in regulatory compliance, including environmental, health, energy, and safety regulations.
- Participates in incident investigations and develops corrective actions to address compliance deficiencies. Identifies regulatory trends to enable the leadership team to make strategic choices.
- Maintains effective internal control system in relation to adherence with regulations and company policies and processes.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant acts, government policies and procedures, corporate policies and procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities based on incident investigations, root cause analysis, and industry best practice.
- Provides guidance on interpreting the compliance regulations from a technical perspective.
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience with regulatory compliance, guidelines, compliance standards, risk assessment of noncompliance issues or cybersecurity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Regulatory Compliance, or a related field.
- Experience in regulatory compliance, CPMO/project management, or risk‑based compliance within the energy or utility industry.
- Experience working with NERC CIP and Operations & Planning standards.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams, manage complex projects, and influence senior leadership.
- Experience with process improvement, automation, data analysis, and SharePoint governance.
- Excellent written, verbal, and executive‑level communication skills.
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

Salary range
- $99,400 - $149,100 per year
