Job Summary

The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food & Environment (M-G CAFE) is seeking a dedicated and service-minded Computer Support Specialist II to join our team at the Research and Education Center located in Princeton, KY, approximately 210 miles west of Lexington.

This position is essential to supporting the research, teaching, and outreach missions of the Center, which is committed to advancing the science of production agriculture across Kentucky and beyond.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide high-quality technical end-user support for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Oversee and maintain computer security protocols, ensuring data integrity and safe access.
  • Coordinate, track, and maintain IT hardware and equipment inventory.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with central IT and department leadership to implement technology upgrades and improvements.


Ideal Candidate Will Have:


  • Proven experience in IT support roles.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with security best practices and equipment lifecycle management.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
