Position Purpose

JCB believes that with our connected services strategy we can leverage technology to increase uptime, reduce admin and make better decisions for our customers. Vehicle telematics and aftermarket system integrations are key parts of the technology revolution sweeping our industry, making us smarter and more productive than ever before. This role is an opportunity to lead JCB’s connected services strategy in North America and delight our customers by increasing the value they get from the JCB brand and increase their productivity. The Connected Services Manager will continue to innovate our vehicle telematics platform and enhance aftermarket systems to provide an engaging and valuable user experience.

As part of JCB’s aftermarket team you will work closely with key customers and dealers to understand the value technology would bring to their organization and provide training and support on existing solutions, as well as interact with internal stakeholders across multiple business areas. This role will prioritize development resource and oversee the delivery of system enhancements and new system launches.

Nature & Scope

Reporting to the General Manager – Aftermarket. This role is based in Savannah, GA.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Establish and lead the delivery of JCB’s connected services strategy in North America.
  • Identify opportunities to improve JCB’s connected services offering to align with established business strategy and targets.
  • Prioritize development resource using an evidence-based approach.
  • Lead cross functional reviews for regional alignment on feature development.
  • Establish revenue targets and implement key initiatives to deliver results.
  • Create business plans to support investment and track value in line with business plan and JCB’s core values.
  • Drive increased customer engagement in vehicle telematics by identifying and communicating relevant value.
  • Explore future technology solutions to continue innovation of JCB’s product offerings.
  • training programs to increase capability in JCBs support teams, dealers and customer network.
  • Provide support to existing dealer and customer users.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with JCBs dealer network and key customers.
  • Provide insight to product engineering teams on future technical requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing a product strategy, conducting market research and project management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Strong communications skills across multiple media. Including presentation skills to large groups, customers and a range of seniority within a company.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Enthusiastic approach to challenges with history of exercising a growth mindset.
  • Motivated and self-managing style, able to lead own direction.
  • Able to demonstrate innovative approach, not afraid to challenge the current state.
  • Knowledge of a dealer or construction company’s business model preferred.
  • Telematics experience in construction / agricultural or similar industry preferred.

Job Conditions

  • Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment
  • Travel to dealer and customer locations / field-based environment (<20%)
  • Subject to noise and temperature changes
