About the role:

This is a pivotal role in connecting cutting-edge technological advancements with customer needs to drive sales and enhance user experiences for a newly formed Connected Technologies group within Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas. This position requires a deep understanding of telematics systems, driver assistance technologies, and their application in improving efficiency, safety, and connectivity. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, customer-facing experience, and a passion for the telematics and technology sectors. The role requires someone who can effectively communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience and contribute significantly to sales strategy and execution. As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with sales, product management, marketing, operations, and engineering teams to tailor solutions that meet specific client requirements, ensuring our products lead the market in innovation and value.

What you will do:

  • Own the sales relationship among the dealer channel, internal teams and end-use customers while helping to define revenue targets and establishing means for measuring success. 
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand the value proposition of Connected Technologies products and services and help align customer needs with our capabilities. 
  • Work with the dealer channel in a “train the trainer model,” ensuring their teams are well-versed in how to sell our telematics, driver assistance, analytics and professional services products, effectively communicating alignment with unmet or poorly met customer needs. 
  • Conduct Voice of Customer and Voice of Dealer conversations, document findings and internalize for process improvement and roadmap optimization. 
  • Understand customer lifecycle, delivery processes, product specifications, features, options, installation, set-up and configuration. 
  • Work internally to create, maintain and deploy sales documentation, training aids and tools to help ensure understanding of Connected Technologies products and services. 
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise of competitor products and their key selling proposition, strengths and weaknesses.

  • Define and develop strong ROI pitches to and for the Dealer channel of Connected Technologies products and services. 
  • Support Major Accounts and Dealers with RFQ/RFP responses, definition and project management pilot programs and strengthen relationships to win business opportunities. 
  • Create systems, processes, documentation to support the selling channel and increase sales success. 
  • Support/assist pilot or POC demonstrations of our technologies with end-use customers and dealers as needed. 
  • Other responsibilities as needed/determined. 


Where:

  • Hybrid position. This role requires an openness toward 30% - 50% travel, primarily within the U.S. and some international. 


What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10 years’ experience in product management and sales engineering roles. 
  • Experience in material handling, telematics or driver assisted technologies required. 
  • Prior experience selling hardware, software and services in a SaaS B2B business model is a must. 
  • Superior presentation, communication and interpersonal skills with experience collaborating across multiple departments. 
  • The role requires meticulous attention to detail and relationship management skills. 
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate into relevant product and service offerings. 
  • Ability to translate technical product specifications into value propositions. 
  • Customer focused mindset with a commitment toward providing the best customer experience with our products, our people and our company. 
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle unexpected challenges.
