The Content Producer/Editor should be comfortable owning the postproduction process from ingest to delivery, including graphics packages, sound design, and final exports. Additionally, you’ll be working across the team to brainstorm content franchises and opportunities to leverage trending sounds and cuts to engage our audience.

This role is ideal for a scrappy creative with robust postproduction skills and a passion for the entertainment industry—particularly content related to actors, celebrities, and the performing arts.

  • Partner with our Creative Director to design and implement branded graphics packages (lower thirds, title cards, etc.)
  • Organize raw footage, sync audio/video, and apply color correction and sound design
  • Deliver content optimized for various platforms (e.g., aspect ratios, duration limits, captioning)
  • Work closely with content team to ensure brand and editorial alignment
  • Shape compelling narratives that resonate with Backstage’s audience
  • Produce and edit talent and employer-focused webinars
  • Leverage understanding of trending sounds and other visual tactics to create compelling and engaging cuts for our audience
  • Work closely with content and social teams to develop ideas for content franchises

What we’re looking for from you:

  • 5+ years of professional video and audio editing experience; experience working in entertainment, especially actor, UGC, or celebrity-focused content preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut, and/or Davinci Resolve
  • Deep understanding of audio post-production, including leveling, mixing, equalizing, etc; on-set or studio production experience is ideal
  • Strong motion graphics and design skills
  • Experience editing for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Familiarity with podcast editing best practices and workflows; familiarity with interview-style video formats preferred
  • Scrappy, but a stickler for quality; you are able to apply workflows, new technology, and AI tools (when applicable) to turn around polished edits quickly
  • Creative; you get excited about the opportunity to share ideas and brainstorm
  • Excellent organizational and file management habits
  • Ability to take feedback and pivot quickly in deadline-driven environments
  • Current with tech advancements and trends; you proactively look for ways to leverage technology to create better and/or faster edits
