Reporting to the Project Manager (Custodial) or the Assistant Project Manager (depending on the site), the Crew Leader is responsible for supervising work-related opportunities for people who have different abilities to work with integrated teams and receive work support and development as needed—achieving the highest level of independence possible.

- Pay Rate: $18.72 per hour
- Shift: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 3:30pm - 11pm
- Location: Crane Naval Base
Performance Support
Assist crew in completing contract required tasks. Sweep, vacuum, dust mop, wet mop, scrub, strip, restore, buff, and wax floors, clean carpets. Clean and maintain hard surface floors using various kinds of power equipment and cleaning solutions. Maintain and organize chemical and equipment storage areas in a clean, organized, and safe manner. For GSA Contracts, may be required to perform ground maintenance/snow removal and cleaning of snow removal equipment if applicable to the contract.
Quality Assurance
Maintain quality control standards. Complete regular inspections and promptly correct any deficiencies and rectify any customer complaints. Complete and turn in daily crew/building sheets.
Inventory Assistance
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and assuring proper use of company resources. Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed. Inform the Project Manager of any needs which cannot be satisfied with current equipment and supplies. Advise Project Manager in a timely fashion as additional supplies are needed. Complete and turn in supply request sheets as needed. Maintain equipment by performing preventative and minor maintenance. Responsible for assuring proper use of Company resources including cell phone, vehicle, and cleaning equipment.
Client Development (Operations Work/Job Skills):
Assist with meeting the needs of clients while fulfilling contract obligations. Apply techniques for working with individuals with disabilities in the workplace. Train and help clients develop job skills, communicating needs to management and implementing feedback for improvement
Effective Leadership
Supervise janitors for floor care, ensuring work is performed according to the contract’s statement of work, company policies, and procedures. Create schedules and/or task assignments for the crew daily if/as assigned. Communicate job expectations. Assist with completion of daily crew/building sheets and semiannual assessment forms as assigned. Report client, employee, and customer issues to Project Manager and/or Assistant Project Manager; make recommendations for corrective actions as needed. Assist with building an effective company culture that embodies our Company values to achieve optimum performance levels and achieve goals and objectives.
Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is helpful but not required
- 2+ years of floor care experience including stripping, buffing, scrubbing, waxing floors using chemicals and operating equipment including propane & electric buffers, scrubbers. Supervisory and janitorial experience helpful.
- Must pass a criminal background check and various State and Federal Registry Checks, pass DCFS abuse and neglect tracking system check.
- Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must maintain valid driver's license and be 21 or older to drive Company van to transport workers, supplies, and equipment between building assignments.
