Physical Requirements
Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to and possibly over 50lbs;
Standing or walking with objects up to 25lbs; Sitting at computer workstation
for extended periods; Repetitive motion.
While some work is done in an office, frequently work is out in the field
overseeing zone locations and may be exposed to elements, weather, and
other non-office type conditions.
Shift
5:30am – 2:15pm; (Monday-Friday).
2:00pm – 10:30pm; (Monday-Friday).
9:30pm – 6:00am; (Monday-Friday).
3:30am – 12:00 noon; (Monday-Friday).
Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors and may include
some nights(s), weekend(s), and holiday(s) response.
Job Summary
The Custodial Supervisor:
- oversees daily custodial services requirements provided within assigned zone area(s)
- reviews any changes (new and/or temporary) regarding custodial services requirements with respective customers and department management
- ensures custodial services are completed in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner
- serves as point of contact between customers, staff, and vendors
- troubleshoots service issues as necessary and implements solutions
- stays informed of current technology trends and learns new technologies as they are developed
- strives for continuous improvement in all activities and work performance
In addition, this position:
- directly supervises assigned custodial personnel
- maintains appropriate staffing levels
- focuses on relationships among team members and customers
- addresses employee relations issues, and initiates corrective actions
- conducts individual performance evaluations
- prepares and implements training and development plans
- proactively assists direct reports in reaching and obtaining their goals and objectives
- promotes teamwork and a positive work environment
