Custodial staff are expected to maintain all assigned areas in a state of operational excellence, minimizing disruptions, distractions, or obstacles to office personnel and production employees. Essential Functions:
- Perform daily custodial duties in assigned building areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Clean, sanitize, and preserve designated spaces, equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
- Restock custodial and maintenance supplies; monitor inventory levels and report usage to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate work-related records and prepare reports as directed.
- Follow verbal and written instructions from the supervisor to complete assigned tasks.
- Support facility operations by assisting with special activities and unscheduled events as needed.
- Provide courteous assistance to visitors and staff utilizing the facilities
- Able to communicate effectively through oral and written instructions
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of custodial experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Regularly stand and walk for extended periods
- Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, and equipment
- Frequently reach with hands and arms in various directions (forward, outward, overhead)
- Frequently squat, stoop, or kneel
- Frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk beyond average ranges
- Frequently use hand strength to grasp tools, supplies, and ladder rungs
- Occasionally sit while completing tasks
- Occasionally push or pull items such as tables, scrubbing machines, or furniture
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds (e.g., cleaning supplies, pails, bags/boxes)
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds (e.g., bags of salt, furniture)
