Position Summary:
AutoNation is looking for an Email Marketing Coordinator with exceptionally strong technical, communication, and organizational skills. The Coordinator will be responsible for projects to support day-to-day email execution for all AutoNation stores, lines of business, and marketing campaigns. The Coordinator will be involved in customer segmentation and campaign setup in our CRM as well as developing and executing highly dynamic emails using our Enterprise Email Service Provider. The Coordinator will also implement and maintain reporting on conquest/inactive campaigns deployed through a third-party ESP. Activities include concepting, designing, copywriting, coding, proofing, monitoring, and analysis.

Organizational Relationships:
Externally interacts with agency partners and vendors that support corporate customer acquisition and retention email marketing programs. The position will interact across all marketing channels and our internal customer marketing team.

Job Responsibilities: % Of Time Spent
1. Execute and deploy personalized email marketing campaigns including concepting, A|B testing, email template design, email HTML coding, campaign creation, template maintenance, updates, proofing, and execution. 40%
2. Maintain Adobe campaign management tool for email communications, including the ability to assemble, analyze and evaluate data workflow. Make appropriate and well-structured recommendations/decisions, trouble-shoot variances and approve final counts.

3. Miscellaneous design work and Photoshop editing. 10%
4. Support the Customer Marketing team with administrative tasks and day-to-day operational needs. 5%

Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of HTML coding and execution via best-in-class Email Service Provider tools, such as Harmony, Cheetah Mail, ExactTarget, Marketo, Salesforce, etc.
2. 2-5 years of experience in a marketing agency or customer marketing-driven business.
3. Working knowledge of design and coding tools, such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
4. Experience in building customer lists via campaign automation tools, such as Adobe Campaign, Marketo, etc. is preferred but not required – training will be provided.
5. Strong Excel skills (must be comfortable organizing and performing analysis for large quantities of data utilizing Excel)
6. Campaign Automation Software or SQL experience is not required but a strong plus.
7. Ability to communicate succinctly - both oral and written communications
8. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Must be an adaptive learner who is inquisitive, embraces change and can prioritize.
9. Ability to work autonomously and independently on tasks as well as collaboratively with other team members.
10. Strong attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects/responsibilities.
11. Must meet the company’s requirements for employment.
