As a Data Analyst at Avalon Consulting Group, a full-service fundraising consulting agency, you'll support our Analytics team by transforming complex datasets into insights that drive client strategy. You’ll create compelling data visualizations, automated reports, and actionable analyses that help our clients raise millions to advance their missions. What You’ll Do with Us
- Analytics & Insights – Create major findings analyses, dashboard reports, ROI analyses, custom analyses, and other deliverables that inform client strategy. Produce data visualizations that communicate trends and outcomes clearly and effectively.
- Data Management & Quality – Clean, standardize, and import data from diverse client sources. Define, follow, and perform quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- utomation & Efficiency – Develop and run SQL queries, optimize data workflows, and produce automated reports to improve data access and consistency.
- · Project Coordination – Manage timelines, priorities, and deliverables for multiple client projects. Coordinate across internal teams to ensure work is completed on time and at the highest quality.
- Collaboration & Support – Advise internal teams and clients on appropriate analytical methodologies to achieve project objectives. Participate in Avalon and industry trainings to strengthen your skills and expertise.
What We Need
We’re looking for someone with at least three (3) years of experience as a data analyst working with large databases and datasets. Proficiency in SQL and Tableau Desktop is required, along with strong Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or equivalent tools is expected. The ideal candidate should also bring experience data mining, developing code, and improving computational performance through efficient scripts. Advanced programming or scripting, such as PL/SQL, experience is a plus. Programming in Python or R is highly desired. The ability to create data models and forecasts is highly desired.

The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
