Summary
Data Engineer II is a fully proficient, independent contributor responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reliable and scalable data solutions with minimal oversight. This role owns moderatetocomplex data pipelines and datasets, ensures analytical accuracy, and proactively identifies and resolves issues across data and reporting platforms within established architectural standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain moderately complex data pipelines, datasets, and integrations.
- Independently analyze requirements and translate them into accurate, supportable technical solutions.
- Optimize queries, data models, and transformations for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Perform thorough data validation and ensure accuracy prior to deployment and reporting consumption.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues endtoend without routine supervision.
- Apply development architecture and coding best practices consistently.
- Contribute to process improvements, standards, and documentation.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional partners to support business data and reporting needs.
- Participate in peer reviews and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
- Thrive in a fast paced, schedule driven environment by effectively managing and pivoting between multiple complex workstreams.

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
- Solid experience with ETL development and data integration patterns.
- Working knowledge of dimensional modeling and reporting dependencies.
- Handson experience developing or supporting enterprise analytics solutions, including data pipelines, centralized data platforms, and semantic models.
- Strong understanding of business intelligence concepts such as dataset design, data modeling, refresh behavior, and report dependencies.
- Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise reporting solutions in a production environment.
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts and version control.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent education and experience.
3–6 years of relevant experience.
Communication & Comprehension
Ability to read, understand, and apply written materials such as policies, procedures, and technical documentation. Able to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with technical and nontechnical audiences.
Analytical & Numerical Skills
Ability to work with numerical data and perform basic calculations, including percentages, proportions, and comparisons, as needed to support job responsibilities.

Ability to analyze practical problems, evaluate relevant information, and determine appropriate solutions in situations with limited standardization.
