Physical Requirements

The physical requirements of this position include regularly sitting at a computer work station with occasional repetitive motion; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50 pounds; standing or walking with objects up to 10 lbs; exposure to loud noises; and intermittent (10%-50%) job related travel.

Primarily Monday- Friday 8am-5pm; may require weekend and holiday hours per department needs.

Job Summary

UK Office of Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement is seeking an Associate Director of Prospect Research for our UK Healthcare Philanthropy team. The Assoc. Dir. of Prospect Research for UK HealthCare Philanthropy plays a central role in strengthening fundraising outcomes by powering the team with trusted data, actionable insights, and high-quality prospect intelligence. This position imagines, designs, and maintains sustainable databases and user-friendly tools that integrate complex information sources while ensuring data integrity and monitoring HIPAA compliance. Working in close partnership with prospect management, gift officers, and senior leaders, the role guides prospect development strategy through identification, vetting, research, and gift capacity analysis, helping expand and continuously improve the prospect pipeline. Through advanced analytics (data mining, modeling, and geographic mapping) the incumbent uncovers trends that inform departmental planning and portfolio strategy, translating findings into clear, compelling reporting and training staff to use tools and data effectively. The role also delivers proactive research, briefings, and biographical and business intelligence to support donor and prospect engagement. While additionally providing the insight and structure that enables our teams to prioritize effectively and pursue philanthropy with precision and confidence.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills; have the ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects; excellent attention to detail; exceptional project planning, data management, analytical and organizational skill; ability to solve routine problems, and manage resources and have excellent computer skills including: MS Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, and donor databases.
