Registered Dietitian and Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Dietitians and Nutritionists at time of hire.

Physical Requirements

This position requires regularly standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing over 50 pounds; and standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time); and exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to cuts/punctures, blood-borne/airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people.

Shift

4, 10-hour shifts per week approximately 8:00am – 6:30pm, weekend and holiday rotation for Feeding Tube Team as needed.

Job Summary

This position will serve as the Lead Dietitian Supervisor of the Feeding Tube Team and Good Samaritan Hospital Registered Dietitians and Dietetic Technicians. The job duties include, but are not limited to: Daily supervision of staff. Address any/all HR issues involving staff Establish and review staff training/education Performs as a member of the interdisciplinary team Responsible for the evaluation, coordination, and implementation of the nutrition care plan for patients Serves as a nutrition educator for students, medical staff, health professionals, and/or general public. Provides education and counseling to patients on their nutritional needs- Ensures customer satisfaction and good public relations through the safe and efficient use of resources. Performs duties in compliance with performance improvement plans, TJC, and other licensing, accrediting, and regulatory agencies.
