Position Summary
As Ava's Digital Marketing Associate, your key responsibilities will include planning, implementing, managing, and supporting our digital marketing initiatives, with a focus on email marketing and optimizing our digital marketing channels such as advertising, social media, and our website.

You'll play a pivotal role in analyzing campaign performance and providing actionable insights to improve effectiveness, leveraging your experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Growth edition), digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms.

This person is the main digital marketer at Ava. You'll collaborate across the marketing team for planning, strategy, and execution. You should have a mix of technical and creative skills. You're comfortable experimenting with new ideas, and then optimizing and operationalizing the winners. You are genuinely excited to engage customers and share Ava's offerings across digital channels.

Position Details
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the management of Ava's Salesforce Marketing Cloud Growth environment
  • Proactively stay updated on emerging digital marketing trends and technologies (e.g., automations, analytics) to keep the team competitive and informed.
  • Provide monthly marketing performance reports, conduct analysis, communicate campaign performance by channel, and proactively participate in strategic discussions to improve performance.
  • Execute and manage the launch of multiple marketing and compliance email campaigns via Journey Builder, Salesforce Sends, or Granicus govDelivery with accuracy, industry best practices and standards, and compliance principles.
  • Execute basic website updates in WordPress and interface with web developers for optimization.
  • Performance Marketing Oversight: Manage day-to-day execution with our agency across Meta, Google, and other paid channels. Monitor spend, pacing, and ROI
  • Analytics & Insights: Own reporting across paid campaigns, web performance, and lead funnel metrics. Translate data into clear insights and recommendations
  • Campaign Ideation & Briefing: Collaborate with creative and brand teammates to pitch and develop campaigns that connect customer insights, messaging, and performance goals
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 4+ years of digital marketing campaign reporting, optimization and strategy, email distribution, and cross-team collaboration.
  • At least one Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification - or willingness to obtain one within the first 6 months of employment
  • 4+ years of demonstrated solutioning experience on a Salesforce marketing platform or similar platform.
  • Experience managing external partners to develop marketing campaigns
  • Experience with paid media and owned and operated channels (i.e. email, onsite, etc.)
  • Comfort with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, or similar)
  • Familiarity with performance marketing channels (Meta, Google,, etc.)
  • Experience optimizing content for social media channels, with proficiency in Hootsuite (or similar platforms) a plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, paired with creativity and curiosity
  • Clear communicator and natural collaborator who thrives in a small, fast-moving team
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure all content aligns with other strategic messaging
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to use virtual meeting applications
Knowledge of
  • Basic functionality and principles of Salesforce and Data Cloud.
  • Google Marketing and Analytics Ecosystem tools: Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Maps, Google Cloud, Google and URL Builder
  • Wordpress and related applications and plugins for optimization, user experience, and ADA compliance
  • Social media best practices (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Youtube)
  • HTML and CSS a plus
  • SQL, AMPscript, and SSJS for Marketing Cloud related applications
  • Website cookie privacy policy management and opt out functionality
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Asana

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position is $120,708, with a Total Compensation of up to $127,951 annually based on performance.

Location and Working Conditions
This position will be based in Ava headquarters in Oakland, near BART. Ava's team has a hybrid approach inclusive of in-office and remote work. This role is expected to go into the office Tuesdays, Thursdays and the first Wednesday of the month.
