Responsibilities

SUMMARY

The Digital Transformation Engineer drives the integration of digital technologies, data analytics, and automation within aerospace engineering, manufacturing, and operations. This role bridges engineering, IT, Procurement, Finance, and business processes to modernize workflows, enhance productivity, and improve data-driven decision-making.

Digital Transformation & Automation

  • Digitize manual and paper workflows across production and admin functions
  • Improve data flow, visibility, and operational efficiency
  • Deliver high-impact tech solutions with leadership
  • Identify opportunities for automation, AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics across functions and production processes.

Ignition, Power Platform & Data Architecture

  • Become Ignition SPA for Rings solutions; Ensure system scalability and security
  • Integrate PowerApps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI dashboards
  • Optimize SQL databases and data pipelines
  • Develop data pipelines and dashboards for real-time performance monitoring and predictive maintenance.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Apply Lean Six Sigma for workflow and data quality improvements
  • Lead tech adoption and user training
  • Lead collaboration within multi department projects to create single efficient solutions
  • Eliminate waste within workflows e.g. integrate out of ERP processes into ERP, where possible.
  • Drive lean and Six Sigma projects using digital tools to improve cycle time, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Support Rings ERP migration projects

Collaboration & Change Management

  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain—to ensure digital adoption and alignment.
  • Lead training sessions and user onboarding for new digital platforms and technologies.
  • Act as a change agent, promoting a culture of digital innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.

  • 5 years of experience in digital transformation, automation, or systems engineering within the aerospace or advanced manufacturing industry.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Experience with cloud-based digital ecosystems (Azure)
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing or model-based systems engineering (MBSE).
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to effectively problem solve and deliver objectives.
  • Display innovative thinking and creativity.
  • Flexible and able to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently and with large teams.
  • Ability to multi-task.
