Job Description:
The Role
The Expense Oversight (EO) team within the Asset Management Treasurer’s Office oversees a variety of activities and information pertaining to the expenses of the products advised by Fidelity. These products include Mutual Funds, ETFs, Institutional Pools, BDCs, Limited Partnerships and 529s invested across the full asset class spectrum, including alternatives and crypto. Day-to-day responsibilities for the team include:
Interpretation of expense arrangements
Delivering instructions to operations teams for processing
Reviewing results for accuracy, including accruals, payments, and reporting
Providing subject matter expertise to various stakeholders
Longer term areas of focus include:
Ensuring proper execution of controls
Analysis of risks and controls to ensure proper risk mitigation
Developing solutions as needed for new products or changing business requirements
Partnering with key stakeholders on both tactical and strategic systems enhancements
As a Director on the Alternatives Team, you will take a lead role in the development and implementation of an oversight program designed to address the unique requirements and complexities of the alternatives asset class. You will also be responsible for the oversight of certain expense types, products and/or processes, and in doing so will engage independently in each of the activities listed above. This role involves working with and developing relationships within the Treasurer’s Office, Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations, key business partners within Asset Management, and various businesses across the firm.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
A minimum of 9 years industry or equivalent experience
A bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent
Experience with alternatives products – private equity, private credit, real assets, liquid alts, crypto
Experience in applying technical accounting standards
Experience with operational risk management and internal controls
Advanced, working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
Lead a team while also delivering on independent assignments
Apply sound judgment to spot issues, assess risks, and identify items requiring attention
Influence business partners and build strong relationships with Senior Leaders
Make and effectively communicate decisions
Summarize and present sophisticated findings in a clear, organized, and concise manner
Prioritize multiple tasks/initiatives and handle time-sensitive activities
Unwavering commitment to accuracy, quality, and completion of tasks

The Team
The Asset Management Treasurers Office provides fiduciary oversight of Fidelity’s funds, shareholder activity, and service providers. We use industry knowledge, technical experience, and our responsibility as fiduciaries to set and monitor adherence to fund policies, and we support the Funds’ Boards of Trustees in fulfilling their responsibilities to the Fidelity Mutual Funds. In addition to overseeing Fidelity’s existing products, we also actively support Asset Management’s efforts to expand investment capabilities by ensuring appropriate oversight is in place for new products prior to implementation.
