Director, Candidate Developer – Alternatives
We are seeking a strategic and research-driven Director, Candidate Developer – Alternatives to join our team, focused on identifying, engaging, and cultivating top-tier talent in the alternative investment space. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment and has a deep understanding of the nuances of private markets, hedge funds, real assets, and other alternative strategies.
Market Intelligence & Research
Conduct in-depth market mapping and competitive intelligence to identify talent pools across alternative investment sectors.
Analyze industry trends, compensation benchmarks, and organizational structures to inform sourcing strategies.
Maintain and continuously update talent pipelines for key investment functions.
Candidate Development & Engagement
Build and nurture relationships with high-potential candidates, including passive talent, through personalized outreach and long-term engagement strategies.
Partner with hiring managers and investment leaders to understand team needs, role requirements, and cultural fit.
Screen and assess candidates for technical expertise, leadership potential, and alignment with firm values.
Strategic Partnership
Collaborate with HR Business Partners and senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and develop proactive sourcing plans.
Provide consultative guidance on talent availability, market conditions, and sourcing best practices.
Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives through targeted outreach and inclusive sourcing strategies.
Process Optimization
Leverage data and analytics to track sourcing effectiveness, pipeline health, and time-to-fill metrics.
Utilize ATS and CRM tools to manage candidate records, communications, and reporting.
Continuously refine sourcing techniques and tools to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
The Experience and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or executive search within the financial services industry, preferably focused on alternative investments.
Strong understanding of investment roles and structures across private equity, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure, and credit.
Exceptional research, networking, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in sourcing tools, databases, and professional networks.
High level of discretion, professionalism, and strategic thinking

The base salary range for this position is $103,000-211,000 USD per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
