JOB DESCRIPTION
BHE GT&S has an exciting career opportunity as a Director, Compression Services at our White Oaks General Office Building in Bridgeport, WV.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs EGTS-wide compression services functions.
- Directs implementation and development of engine maintenance performance monitoring and air emission compliance programs and systems designed to improve station efficiency.
- Directs engine analysis and reliability program compression technical support air emissions testing program engine optimization program and air emission reduction engine upgrades.
- Manages Compression Services and Facility Optimization with a focus on safety compliance reliability and efficiency.
- Directs implementation development and maintenance of computerized performance monitoring systems.
- Conducts investigations and reviews of engine failures and develops recommendations to prevent future failure.
- Oversees development and implementation of compressor-related training programs.
- Establishes engine maintenance practices procedures and standard specifications for critical components.
- Facilitates development and reporting of operating indicators for compression facilities through maintenance monitoring systems.
- Oversees total system horsepower (500M+) maintenance requirements.
- Ensures adherence to company procedures and Clean Air Act regulations.
- Participates on industry-wide councils and committees (e.g. Pipeline Research Committee International SGA's Gas Machinery Research Council and INGAA's Operating Safety & Environmental Clean Air Team).
- Corporate interests in resolving issues with regulatory personnel contractors and company employees.
- Partners with Purchasing Original Equipment Manufacturers and equipment vendors to develop purchasing agreements fired hour agreements and warrantees for engines compressors and related equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS
At least 7 years' related experience.
- Expert knowledge of gas engine and compressor monitoring systems, and principles of engine and compressor operation and maintenance practices
- Expert knowledge of air emission reduction technologies and applications.
- Knowledge of Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) processes, regulations, and programs.
- Understanding of, and experience with, the implementation of company policies and procedures, and compliance with applicable regulations (i.e. DOT, OSHA, FERC, EPA).
- Ability to effectively manage varied disciplines across remote work locations through utilizing appropriate planning, organizing, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to communicate across a broad range of disciplines, developing rapport, synergies, and effective relationship
- Aptitude in the ability to use strategic and innovative thought processes in development of business plans, goals, and company direction.
- Ability to lead and motivate work groups effectively, in a team environment.
- Ability to utilize a personal computer and the associated programs, systems, and databases effectively.
- Ability to prepare and monitor capital and operation budgets.
- Ability to influence efforts of others in attaining a common goal.
Education
- Bachelor (Typically four years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor's degree.)
