Job Summary

Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking a Director of Facilities Management/Safety and Security to oversee all aspects of Facilities Management, Safety, and Security including: direct supervision of three M&O Supervisors; coordination with KCTCS on all Capital Construction Projects; supervision of safety/security trainings and functions, utilization of room assignments and facility rentals, recording of facilities usage into Archibus software, review of all utility usage and payments, approval of all applicable purchases and payments, oversight of all applicable facilities/safety/security/capital project budgets, etc.

Facilities Management - Provide oversight to the M&O Supervisors, admin assistant, and custodial operations on each campus. Manage all internal construction projects, capital projects, facilities, room usage, budgets for all campuses maintenance and operations, vending, cleaning schedule, grounds, and approval of purchases. Participate in various system and college committee meetings as appropriate.

Safety and Security – Strategically plan and supervise college-wide safety and security efforts, enhance building security systems and inspections, respond to incidents on campus, plan and direct the College's emergency management plan, ensure effective public safety services in conjunction with local first responders, provide appropriate trainings and drills, conduct annual audits of compliance to established safety and security processes, maintain and report data related to Clery and Minger Acts, administer notification alert systems, and lead various safety and crisis management committees.

Complete Planning and budget documents, reports, and other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree and 5 years related work experience in Facilities Management, Safety, Security or Construction.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 8-10 years related experience in Facilities Management, Safety, Security or Construction and Certification or Professional License in Safety/Security.

Additional Skills Requested:

Any applicable certifications for Security, Safety, Facilities, Construction, etc.
