
Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis provides financial leadership across the organization, working in partnership with Business Operations and driving financial processes and providing hands-on financial and analytical support. This individual will participate in day-to-day and monthly financial operations, forecasting and reporting activities, including the forecast and financial review, annual operating plan, business analytics, process improvements, cost reduction and savings, cash forecasting, and ad-hoc projects. This is a hands-on, in-depth analysis role intended to drive decisions to improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. This position is the financial business partner to the leadership team and reports to the Executive Director of Business Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Establish relationships with key stakeholders cross-functionally (Operations, Business Development, Technical Portfolios) to develop a deep understanding of investments, business drivers, program execution, costs, and revenue
- Supports development of the annual operating plan, long range planning, and regular forecast process
- Develop, update, and maintain annual operating and indirect rate budgets in coordination with functional and program leaders
- Assist in the application of indirect rate structures and government contracting support (FAR, DFARS, CAS)
- Perform a monthly budget vs. actual analysis and realign ongoing yearly plan to actual performance and expenditures
- Support the capital budgeting process including business case development, financial analysis, and return on investment
- Support business leaders with financial analyses, ROIs, and present compelling, data-driven, insights to help the business make informed decisions
- Identify and track key performance metrics pertaining to business operations, competitors, benchmarking, etc.
- Maintain accurate and timely data to support quarterly SEC reporting cycles through coordination with the parent company
- Be very technology savvy and implement process improvements and tools to improve the consistency and effectiveness of our financial processes and team
- Protect the organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality
- Support the accounting team in the timely and accurate delivery of the monthly close process

Requirements
- 10-15 years of work experience in financial planning & analysis, accounting, consulting, and/or corporate finance
- Public Company experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Strong financial and business modeling skills with experience in building and applying financial models
- Experience with indirect rate and cost pool structures
- Excellent analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and business acumen
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, constraints, and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth, constantly changing environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Candidates who have one or more of the following qualifications will be preferred:
- CPA/MBA
- Experience with Deltek CostPoint
- Exposure to business intelligence tools
- Supervisory experience
- Cost accounting experience
- Financial reporting experience

The pay range for this position is $160,000-225,000/ year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills This is not a guarantee of compensation.
