The Opportunity
- Strategize development and execution to ensure operational performance and success of the practice line and division.
- Provide programmatic leadership.
- Develop annual operations plan.
- Monitor and manage operational performance to achieve strategic goals.
- Identify operational efficiencies; meet regulatory and client expectations and develop a “best practice” approach to the defined operational areas.
- Establish and implement operating policies and procedures intended to maintain compliance with established standards and regulations.
- Responsible for department’s strategic vision, objectives, and attendant policies and procedures for the organization.
- Implement programs and services to improve practice operations.
- Collaborate with the internal consulting team to integrate start-up practices and improve site performance.
- Develop and monitor performance metrics.
- Systematically deploy practice knowledge to encourage practices optimization.
- Collaborate with business development to share practice knowledge, achievements and participate in meetings for new opportunities.
- Engage/collaborate with business development to grow the practice lines and ensuring smooth transition into Vituity.
- Operationally integrate across other practice lines, as appropriate.
- Oversee/manage start-up operations for new contracts.
- Demonstrate the value proposition of practice lines.
- Lead, direct, and review the work of team members to accomplish program initiatives, operational plans, and results within schedule and budget.
- Provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, rewards, and disciplinary with the assistance of People Operations, when necessary.
- Build and maintain a positive working environment to train and develop the team to foster understanding of broad principles, policies, and procedures with a high level of customer service focus.
- Mentor and coach team members to further develop competencies.
- Provide primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions for direct reports with including the hiring or firing of employees, in accordance with organization guideline.
Required Experience and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare management, Public Health, or related field and eight years of progressive operations management experience required; experience in health care, physician practice management, and multi-location operations are desirable.
- Demonstrated managerial experience in a physician practice setting is required.
- Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare management, Public Health, or related field is preferred.
- Experience working in healthcare, physician practice management, and/or multi-location operations preferred.
- Experience working in a hospital preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare management, ideally encompassing both hospital-based management experience and physician practice management.
- Knowledge of physicians’ clinical, management, and leadership roles in the healthcare environment in order to assist the physician group clients in developing a competitive advantage in their marketplace.
- Ability to rapidly assess needs and deliver solutions (results-oriented).
- Knowledge of payer contracting and its impact on the physician practice.
- Knowledge of performance measures that affect practice and medical-legal considerations affecting medical practice: Revenue cycle management, payer contracting, knowledge of clinical practice, performance measures that affect practice, and medical-legal considerations affecting practice.
- Strong analytical skills, creative conceptualization, collaborative management ability, and polished interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and in written.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Team player that works with physician partner in addition to building effective site service teams.
- Ability to motivate and develop the potential of others.
- Ability to remain organized while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective and persuasive communication across all levels, with strong knowledge of certification systems.

We are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $142,020 - $184,625, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible to participate in our annual corporate Success Sharing bonus program, which is based on the company’s annual performance. If you are hired at Vituity, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
